Foreclosures remain a concern in Montgomery County, although the situation has improved compared to the peak years of the 2008 financial crisis. I have noticed recently the number of foreclosure filings in Montgomery County has increased and I hate seeing families losing their homes to foreclosure. In 2023, Montgomery County recorded about 1 in 1,500 housing units facing foreclosure, which is higher than the national average of 1 in 3,800 but still significantly lower than during the housing crisis peak, one foreclosure is one foreclosure to many. While foreclosure rates have generally decreased, economic factors such as rising interest rates, inflation, and property values continue to challenge some homeowners in Montgomery County. Should you or someone you know possibly be facing a foreclosure, call me, I can offer clarity and answer any questions you have. You do have options, let's see what will work best for you.
